About Our Equine Operations
Board comes in three grades, and the entry tier is pasture only: four-board plank paddocks shaded by mature trees, horses grouped by sex and temperament, hay as needed and several checks a day. The next step up adds a run-in shelter, either shared or divided into private stalls, with automatic waterers, salt blocks and a lighted, locked store for owners’ gear. A third tier, full care stall board in a new barn of 12 by 12 European stalls with mattresses, dutch doors onto private grazing and wash and grooming bays, is listed on the site as coming in autumn 2022. Ray and Melanie Walton started the farm in 2018 at 5800 Old Richmond Road, near Hamburg and the University of Kentucky.
