About Our Equine Operations
The equestrian complex went up in 2020 on an 1855 property at 3975 Lemons Mill Pike, where the restored Greek Revival main house is on the National Register of Historic Places and puts up out-of-town clients and horse shoppers. Twenty stalls carry European fronts, automatic waterers, fly-spray systems, fans and cameras; cross-ties sit under radiant heaters. GGT footing goes into both rings, an 80 by 220 indoor attached to the barn and a 120 by 220 outdoor, and there is an equine treadmill. Jeannie Scalise runs hunter, jumper and equitation training and caps numbers deliberately. Retired horses are taken separately from $475 a month, on 24-hour turnout or a custom schedule, with medication, blanketing and vet and farrier visits coordinated by the on-site manager.
