About Our Equine Operations
Owner Tony Ocampo attends every foaling here, and the farm takes Thoroughbreds only, mares, foals and yearlings headed for the racing and sales ring. He and Lisa Ocampo began the business in 1999; it now runs 400 acres at 2675 Rice Road with seven barns and about 100 stalls, plus a 250-acre annex on Parkers Mill Road. Barn 3 keeps a heated foaling stall and an outdoor one, both on camera. Mares wear Equilume masks before breeding and are teased on the farm; newborns are screened for antibody levels and neonatal isoerythrolysis. Young stock move from a round pen through aisleway jogging to a starting gate, and fifteen full-time staff also cover sales prep and layup cases using a TheraPlate.
