About Our Equine Operations
The barns stand on part of the old Elmendorf Farm, once James Ben Ali Haggin’s, where Fair Play and Mahubah, sire and dam of Man o’ War, were kept; four columns left from the Green Hills mansion give the business its name. Jeff and Melanie Ramey own it and live on the property, which runs along Iron Works Pike five minutes from the Kentucky Horse Park. The Main Barn holds 14 stalls at 15 by 15 feet 6 inches with oak matting, an indoor hot and cold wash rack, an outdoor rack and seven paddocks. Riders use a 125 by 240 Martin Collins CLOPF all-weather arena with a full jump course, a grass Derby field and trails. Layup, rehabilitation, young horse turnout and a step-down programme for retiring show horses run alongside full care board.
