About Our Equine Operations
Robert J. Nava runs the training side, taking horses from green to the show ring and teaching riders alongside them. The property faces Malibu Creek State Park; the stable’s booking page gives its address as 2200 Stokes Canyon Road, Calabasas. New students start with a $175 evaluation lesson covering riding, grooming and safety basics, after which semi-private instruction runs $625 a month for one hour a week, $1,200 for two and $1,500 for three. A show training program costs $1,400 a month and includes four riding sessions a week, with full leases at $2,500 and half leases at $1,250 plus use of the horse for showing. Board is offered to training horses only, priced by stall size and including alfalfa and regular feed twice daily. Actor training is billed at $300 an hour.
