About Our Equine Operations
Ocala Stud sold its first crop of two-year-olds in 1958 and now spans three farms totaling 500 acres in the Ocala and Marion County area, with the main operation on Shady Road south of State Road 200. Six stallions stand there, at advertised fees between $3,000 and $8,500. The main farm has a 5/8-mile training track with a six-stall starting gate, and tours are welcome by appointment. The farm reports breeding and selling more than 155 stakes winners, at least twelve Group or Grade 1 winners, and being named America’s leading breeder of U.S. graded stakes winners in 2010; it also reports standing Florida’s champion sire nine times since 2000.
