About Our Equine Operations
Reproduction and foaling drive the work at Buena Vista Farm, established in 1997 at 11122 W. Highway 326. Owner and staff veterinarian Carolin Von Rosenberg, DVM, graduated from North Carolina State University in 1989 and has more than 20 years in equine reproduction; Kaitlyn Canton is farm manager. The 65-acre property has 44 stalls, horse-safe wood fencing and automatic waterers. Mares are bred by artificial insemination with fresh, cooled or frozen semen, and the farm handles infertility evaluations, pregnancy checks with early twin reduction, embryo flushing, stallion collection and processing, and frozen semen storage. Foaling stalls are doubled and straw-bedded, watched by camera and Foalert, with a colostrum bank on hand. Lay-ups and hospital cases are accepted.
