About Our Equine Operations
Veterinarian-owned and operated is how this 54-acre Woodstock farm describes itself, and Rachel Kane, DVM — more than 25 years in equine practice, licensed in Illinois and Wisconsin — sees cases both in the field and at the farm. Clients book lameness workups with digital radiography and ultrasonography, ultrasound-guided injections, IRAP, Prostride, PRP, stem cell therapy and shockwave, plus dentistry, vaccinations, geriatric medicine and emergency cover. Reproductive work covers artificial insemination with fresh cooled and frozen semen, stallion collection and semen shipping, phantom training and foaling. Boarders get 12-by-12 matted stalls, feeding two to three times daily, free-choice hay and turnout across 40 acres of four-board pasture and twelve limestone all-weather paddocks. Hunter, jumper and equitation training runs alongside, Tuesday to Friday, 8am to 5pm.
