About Our Equine Operations
Matt Witzel, DVM, qualified at Washington State in 2012 and names emergency medicine, reproduction, lameness and dentistry as his interests; Bill Brown, who finished veterinary school in 1992 and grew the Missoula practice, has retired. Horses, ponies, mules and donkeys are all seen, either on the road or at 4414 Deschamps Lane, where there is a heated exam room with restraint stocks, a surgery suite, heated isolation and recovery stalls, and long-term stalls and pastures. Mobile digital X-ray, ultrasound and endoscopy travel to the farm. Veterinary assistant Caillan arrived by way of a UC Davis animal behaviour degree, wrangling, and work at a BLM wild horse sanctuary. Weekdays nine to five.
