About Our Equine Operations
Jan Byyny owns and manages Surefire Farm on St. Louis Road in Purcellville, 50 acres with an adjacent 300 acres held in conservation and cross-country courses built from Beginner Novice through Intermediate, plus easy access to gallop tracks. Stadium, cross-country and dressage lessons are taught at the farm, and Byyny travels nationally for clinics as her schedule permits. She is a Level IV ICP instructor and an EA-21 coach through the United States Eventing Association, with Pan American Championships team gold and individual bronze and the 2013 USEF National 3-star Championship at Fair Hill among her results. Horses come in for starting, retraining and an introduction to competition, and training board is set according to the owner’s goals. Each winter the operation spends several months in Ocala, Florida.
