About Our Equine Operations
Since August 2019, Tsaheylu Farm has taught out of 36688 Philomont Road, having moved there from Marshall. Makendra Burns runs it herself, working from an outdoor ring of 100 by 200 feet set with jumps, 14 large stalls on a wide aisleway, two warm-water wash stalls, a heated office and trail access. Burns was a working student for Phyllis Dawson in 1999 and competed at Advanced level in eventing; lessons build on natural horsemanship groundwork and move into dressage and jumping, taught either on her own horses or on the rider’s. Published prices include an $80 half-hour intro for ages one to six, a $120 hour for ages seven and up, $150 for a private hour and $100 a rider in groups, with weekly packages from $300 a month on a two-month commitment. Olivia Wharton is assistant instructor.
