About Our Equine Operations
Dr David Miller studied at The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine from 1985 to 1989, has practised since 1989, and opened D. Miller, DVM, Ltd — trading as Summit Equine Veterinary Services — in 1997, a full-service ambulatory and in-clinic equine practice at 1745 N Hametown Road, Akron. Sports medicine and lameness are the centre of the work: digital radiography, digital ultrasonography, respiratory endoscopy and a three-metre gastroscope, and the Equinosis Q with Lameness Locator for computerised stride analysis. Therapy ranges over shock wave, PRP and Pro-Stride, IRAP, laser and cryotherapy. He has practised acupuncture since 1995, trained with the International Veterinary Acupuncture Society and in equine osteopathy, and is a past president of the American Academy of Veterinary Acupuncture.
