About Our Equine Operations
Three DVMs with distinct specialities staff Rocky Mountain Equine Clinic in Larkspur: Dr. Lise Andersen, a 2001 Colorado State graduate certified in animal acupuncture and veterinary chiropractic; Dr. Shilo Cavalcanti, a University of Wisconsin-Madison graduate focused on internal medicine, geriatrics and emergency and critical care; and Dr. Lyndsy Gieche, trained at the University of Missouri, who practices ophthalmology, internal medicine and equine dentistry. Clients can haul horses to the hospital location or request a farm visit, and the clinic answers emergencies around the clock with a stated response target of 20 minutes. Dental procedures include oral adjustment and floating, sedated examinations, digital radiography, and tooth extraction using an intraoral approach on the standing, sedated horse. The practice also offers nutritional guidance and illness-prevention education, serving Larkspur, Monument, Palmer Lake, Black Forest, Peyton, Elbert and Colorado Springs.
