About Our Equine Operations
Sessions here are non-riding: Equine Assisted Psychotherapy is described as a trauma-informed approach that integrates clinical therapy with guided interactions with horses, with clients grooming, observing or leading rather than riding. The site states that all equine assisted therapy sessions are facilitated exclusively by licensed mental health clinicians. Amber Ahern is listed as MS, LMHC, PhD, Eagala Certified; Leigh Hayden as LCSW and a Certified Practitioner of Natural Lifemanship and Eagala; Bianca Spiak as LMHC, CAP. Diane Farina, the director, is an Eagala Trained Equine Specialist. A separate Equine Assisted Learning strand covers teamwork, leadership and problem-solving, and a Horse Powered Reading programme for elementary pupils is billed as coming soon. The five-acre farm in Palm City has an air-conditioned client lounge.
