About Our Equine Operations
Dr. Courtney Iverson built her Hawthorn Woods practice around sports medicine and rehabilitation, drawing on a 2019 Certified Equine Rehabilitation Practitioner credential earned through the Chi Institute after a rotating internship in Connecticut. The practice, serving the Chicagoland area since 2016, treats horses at a barn built with adjacent paddocks specifically for recovery and reconditioning work, offering trigger-point therapy and chiropractic care alongside its rehabilitation caseload. Iverson holds memberships in the American Association of Equine Practitioners, the International Society of Equine Locomotor Pathology and the American Association of Rehabilitation Veterinarians, reflecting a focus on internal medicine and post-surgical recovery as well as performance horses. Rehabilitation manager Taylor Kehnemuyi and groom Luis Franco support the day-to-day recovery programme.
