About Our Equine Operations
Hay arrives here from the West, Midwest, Mid-Atlantic and Northeast, sorted into named grades: western premium and eastern basic alfalfa, alfalfa grass mixes, first and second cut timothy, second cut orchardgrass, timothy-orchardgrass, first cut teff and coastal bermuda. Small squares are sold in two-tie bundles of 21 bales or three-tie bundles of 14, listed from $9 to $35 a bale, with 3x3x8, 3x4x8 and 4×4 round bales from $130 to $240. Beet pulp pellets, flax and peas round out the feed side. The operation began in 2015 to bring hay into Aiken at wholesale prices, and also boards horses in six stalls with nine paddocks, a sand arena, round pen, jumps, wash stall and tack room, self care with a full care option.
