About Our Equine Operations
Partners Dr Melissa Milligan and Dr Nate McClellan run a referral hospital on five fenced acres at 17434 Rapids Road in Burton, open for in-hospital and emergency work 24 hours a day. The building holds two surgical suites with padded induction and recovery stalls and an overhead hoist over each operating table, eleven critical care stalls on IV fluid delivery, a padded neurologic stall, two neonatal stalls, twelve non-critical stalls, and a separate isolation building. An MRI unit sits in the orthopaedic surgery suite; nuclear scintigraphy, myelography, dynamic endoscopy and a three-metre gastroscope are also in use. Sports medicine covers shockwave, cold compression, PRP, IRAP and bone-marrow stem cell implantation. Obstetrical care and neonatal intensive care are handled on site.
