About Our Equine Operations
October 1998 opened with two horses and eight soon-to-be equestrian participants, in a programme that grew out of Jennifer Stoudemire’s final year of college — her mother Corky Dyer describes everything coming together at once. The two teach it together now from Lexington. Stoudemire is a PATH Intl. certified therapeutic riding instructor, a certified Special Olympics Equestrian Coach, a Para-Dressage coach and holder of a USDF Bronze medal rider award; Dyer holds the same PATH and Special Olympics certifications. Private lessons are $30 and groups of two or three $25, and nobody rides until a physician’s cover letter, medical history and physician’s statement come back signed. The accredited PATH International centre logs over 1,000 hours of equine assisted activities a year, among them riders from children’s homes and the Wounded Warrior Project.
