Four horse-specific covers are named on the agency’s equine page: mortality, for death by injury, illness, disease or theft; major medical, for veterinary treatment, medication and surgery; loss of use, when a horse can no longer do its insured job; and personal liability, for injury or property damage a horse causes. Farm insurance is a separate line, covering dwellings, farm buildings, machinery and equipment, livestock, harvested feed, liability and loss of farm income. Connors Coverage Group is locally owned and run by Anna Connors, who has been in the Northern Virginia area since 2007, with Bill Ruscitella as vice president for commercial lines and Alexandra Martinez in customer service. Stated specialties are traditional agriculture, equine, contractors and wineries or vineyards. The agency is licensed in Virginia, Maryland, West Virginia, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Delaware, DC and Florida.
