A 2013 certification from the American Veterinary Chiropractic Association lets Dr. Cal Davis, co-owner of Reata Equine Hospital on Granbury Highway in Weatherford, provide chiropractic care alongside the hospital’s other services. Co-owner Dr. Justin High trained at Littleton Equine Medical Center before concentrating on lameness, sports medicine and reproduction, while associates Dr. Mary Bumgarner, Dr. Jake Malek and Dr. Tylynn Malek cover further lameness, reproduction and emergency work. The hospital, which describes itself as operating under a Biblically based standard of ethics, offers sports medicine, internal medicine, reproduction, wellness, surgery and round-the-clock emergency cover, along with digital radiography, ultrasonography and endoscopy. It also formulates its own performance electrolyte and mineral supplement for clients.
