About Our Equine Operations
Founded in 1995 as an ambulatory practice to meet the demand for an equine-only veterinary service, this North Branch clinic added a heated treatment facility in 2006. Dr Kirsten Frederickson, a 2006 University of Minnesota graduate, bought the practice in 2012 and lists chiropractic, lameness and dentistry among her interests. Dr Katie Luoma completed chiropractic training through Options for Animals in Wellsville, Kansas in February 2023 and is certified by the International Veterinary Chiropractic Association; Dr Jill Deets attended Chi University for acupuncture in 2021. Dental work is carried out with a full mouth speculum in place and the horse sedated, wolf teeth taken out in young animals to stop them interfering with the bit, and loose teeth pulled in geriatrics. Weekday hours are 8am to 4.30pm, with emergency cover around the clock.
