About Our Equine Operations
Forty acres of rolling hills and flower gardens sit behind an automatic electric gate at 1702 Sanchez Road, Gardnerville, fenced throughout in sturdy round wood. Barbara Flanagan’s farm holds horses in eight barn stalls with attached paddocks, in 26 private paddocks from 50 to 150 feet with three-sided shelters, and in pastures and dry lots. Riders have a 125-by-200 outdoor arena and a newer covered one, 75 by 150 and lit, plus a round pen, wash racks and hitching rails; BLM access into the Pine Nut Mountains begins a few blocks away. Sandy McMahon, with 28 years of showing and training behind her, gives clinics, lessons and coaching in English, Western, horsemanship and trail styles. The bed and breakfast side has closed.
