About Our Equine Operations
Sweet Pepper Ranch pairs overnight horse-motel stabling and a bed-and-breakfast for riders with mustang-focused training under resident clinician Matt Livengood, an NRHA judge since 1999 who also holds judge, trainer or show-manager credentials with the NRCHA, AQHA, ASHA and NVRHA. Livengood won the 2017 Reno Extreme Mustang Makeover and the 2019 Mustang Madness freestyle, teaching reining, ranch riding and ranch horse versatility from a 200-by-300-foot outdoor arena and a 72-by-120-foot indoor arena. The Nampa property runs on conservation practices including rotational grazing, manure composting and native landscaping, developed under operator Alayne Blickle. Twice yearly the ranch hosts Cowgirl Retreats combining riding instruction with yoga and lectures.
