Strain Family Horse Farm has operated as a third-generation family business in Granby since 1968, specialising in trained, ready-to-ride horses across breeds from Quarter Horses and Paints to warmbloods and draft crosses, with no-charge trade-ins and consignment. The farm’s saddle shop stocks new and used English and western tack from brands including Crosby, Stubben, Collegiate and Circle Y, priced between $250 and $750, alongside a horse and cowboy museum holding more than 300 antique bits, spurs and saddles. A separate transport arm runs its own fleet of three trucks and trailers, staffed by family drivers, hauling horses throughout the United States and Canada and handling emergency runs to veterinary hospitals. A free shuttle from Bradley International Airport is offered to visiting buyers.
