About Our Equine Operations
Dr. Tony Kimmons, a 1995 graduate of the University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine, founded Franklin Equine Services in 2004. The practice works from a 15-acre property at 4660 Murfreesboro Road with 14 stalls: 12 by 12 singles, larger 12 by 24 boxes, an isolation stall for infectious cases, and three fitted with fluid hangers for ICU patients, all watched by stall cameras. Seven paddocks handle turnout and day patients. Two climate-controlled exam rooms carry large-screen monitors for diagnostic images, and exam room one holds a foal stock. Field work runs from two ambulatory trucks on custom stainless Stone Well bodies, carrying refrigeration, water, power inverters and diagnostics. Dr. Aden Hardison, certified in equine chiropractic and acupuncture, covers sports medicine, dentistry and reproduction.
