About Our Equine Operations
Oley is the headquarters of a four-terminal operation, the others being Lexington, Ocala and Chicago. The Berks County property carries the administrative offices, a full-service mechanic shop and a layover barn, gated and locked overnight, and the whole site runs on solar power. Staffing is the point the firm presses hardest: thirty lead drivers whose average length of employment is thirteen years, mechanics many of whom have been there more than 25 years, and office people drawn from former trainers, tack shop owners, veterinary assistants, horse farm owners and Pony Club and IHSA riders. The company holds the Department of Transportation’s highest rating. Flights are arranged as scheduled service or private charter, with flight grooms travelling alongside the horses.
