About Our Equine Operations
Karen Jones completed the six-day instructor’s seminar taught by Sally Swift, founder of Centered Riding, in 1985, and holds the North American Horsemen’s Association Horsewoman of Distinction award, given for longevity, a consistent safety record and successful equine business operation. She started the farm in 1984 in southern Maryland and moved it to 1720 Wire Road in Aiken after 33 years there. Teaching covers balanced seat, classical dressage, jumping and western work for beginners through seasoned riders of all ages, on ten lesson horses or a student’s own horse trailered in. The 90 by 160 foot covered arena is irrigated, LED lit and fan ventilated, and rents at $50 an hour for one horse or $500 for an eight-hour day; an outdoor grass ring measures 110 by 220.
