About Our Equine Operations
Deanna Pratt rode her first lesson at five, won the 2008 Local Hunter Classic at Marshal and Sterling Finals on Stay Gold and the 2012 WHVPHA Child/Adult 3′ Medal Finals on Sky, then took a B.S. in Equine Studies at Centenary University in 2015, concentrating in riding instruction and training the horse. After assistant-trainer work in Florida under Waddy Oursler and a head trainer post in New Windsor, New York, she opened this Camden hunter/jumper yard in spring 2017; her husband Jeremy manages the farm. Basic board covers twice-daily stall cleaning, feed, hay, shavings and turnout; partial training board adds three rides a week and full adds five or six, shows included. Riders from grade 6 upward compete on the Central Carolina IEA team, no horse of their own required.
