About Our Equine Operations
Weekly lessons are billed at $77.43 and subsidised to $50 for self-pay clients at this Cleburne charity, which has been providing the partnership of a horse for children and adults with disabilities and challenges since 1996. Entry runs through an online interest form plus one form completed and signed by a medical healthcare professional; clients must be four or older with a diagnosed disability, and mounted riders must weigh 175lb or less. Programmes cover mounted horsemanship, ground-based horsemanship, group ground-based services, field trips, team building and summer camp. Allison Gross is executive director, a CTRI instructor and Equine Specialist in Mental Health and Learning; Melissa Brown, Jenna Morgan and Stormie Swinburne also teach as CTRI instructors. The farm is at 4200 County Road 806.
