About Our Equine Operations
Minnesota’s oldest and largest therapeutic riding program by its own account, We Can Ride has operated since 1982 as a 501(c)(3) and holds Premier Accredited status with PATH Intl. It works out of Baker Park in partnership with the Three Rivers Park District, where roughly 500 volunteers and more than a dozen therapy equines support over 150 participants a year. Adaptive riding lessons run 45 to 60 minutes once a week for clients age 2 and up, taught by PATH-certified instructors in private, semi-private and group formats. A separate hippotherapy track pairs a credentialed speech, physical or occupational therapist with a PATH Intl. certified instructor, using equine movement rather than riding instruction.
