Abby Matthaeus read biology and psychology at the University of Washington, took her DVM at Washington State, interned at Idaho Equine Hospital in Boise and spent four years in equine medicine and surgery at a mixed practice in Idaho Falls before founding this ambulatory clinic. The truck carries portable digital radiography and ultrasonography plus bench tests for SAA, lactate, blood glucose and haematocrit. Dentistry goes well past routine floats to tooth extractions, sinus flap retro-pulsion, abnormal occlusions and full oro-facial surgery. Soundness work spans pre-purchase evaluations, shockwave and joint injections using PRP, Pro-Stride and stem cell. Reproduction covers breeding soundness examinations, artificial insemination, uterine culture and biopsy and stallion collection, with castrations and laceration repair done in the field.
