About Our Equine Operations
Horses get their own service page at this AAHA-accredited large- and small-animal hospital on 224th Street East in Spanaway, and the offering is ambulatory as well as in-clinic — staff “can travel to your home or farm to provide services when needed”, with on-call cover for large animal patients. Listed equine work includes wellness exams, Coggins testing and health certificates; vaccination against eastern and western encephalomyelitis, West Nile virus, influenza, strangles, rhinopneumonitis and rabies; lameness exams backed by radiography and laboratory services; field surgery including castrations; dental care; and reproductive work covering gestation checks, delivery, artificial insemination and breeding consultations. Four veterinarians are named — Eric Long, Suzannah Strauss, Travis McKinzie and Tara Beyerlin. The clinic opens six days, with Saturday mornings until 1pm.
