Beyond the shelves, the store offers blade sharpening and blanket washing and repair, plus nutritional consultation from staff who field feeding questions directly. A delivery service reaches customers across the Mid-Atlantic region, including specialised runs to racetracks and premium feed accounts. The equine department is described as carrying feeds and supplies for horses without a milling operation behind it, distinguishing the shop from area feed mills that process their own grain. The wild bird department also serves as an authorised Droll Yankee repair centre.
