About Our Equine Operations
Forty acres of Warrington Township preserved open space hold a 21-stall barn, an indoor arena, the Chapman Outdoor Ring, a round pen and a Sensory Trail carrying 35 interactive experiences. Licensed clinicians staff the programmes: occupational therapists Deb Saffren and Megan Glenn, physical therapists Marsha Berger-Grant and Jackie DeMerlis, all four PATH Registered Therapists, and social workers Sarah Reimers, LCSW, and Jessica Kohn, LSW. Hippotherapy is “conducted at our barn by specially trained occupational and physical therapists” and deliberately does not focus on riding skills. Therapeutic riding runs as 30-minute private, 45-minute semi-private or 60-minute group lessons for people with physical, cognitive or social-emotional disability. Equine-Facilitated Psychotherapy is weekly. About 70% of participants are aged five to eighteen, and the waiting list currently runs up to three years.
