About Our Equine Operations
Forty-six stalls, 18 paddocks, two surgery suites, three digital radiology suites and two covered lameness arenas sit on the Banks Mill Road campus, alongside a 0.31 Tesla high-resolution MRI and a nuclear scintigraphy suite. Jamie Carter, DVM, founded the practice in 2002; the practice offers ambulatory, outpatient and hospital case management. Guillermo Cardona, DVM, MS, became a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Surgeons in 2025 and is also a Certified Equine Rehabilitation Practitioner through the University of Tennessee. Emily May, DVM, completed a residency in equine theriogenology at Colorado State’s Equine Reproduction Laboratory. Dentistry is a separate line: sedated oral examination with speculum, hand or power floating, dental radiography, incisor, premolar and molar extractions, and sinus trephination.
