About Our Equine Operations
The Equine Podiatry Center sets this practice apart: Dr Scott Morrison co-founded it with farrier Manfred Eckert, and its Lexington roster lists eleven farriers beside the veterinarians, with a fabrication crew building therapeutic shoes, pads, boots and custom braces for surgical patients. Raul Bras appears with both DVM and CJF after his name. Bill Rood and Tom Riddle opened the hospital in 1986; it occupies 24 acres at 2150 Georgetown Road and is held by 36 shareholders. Dentistry is a service in its own right, covering root canals, apicoectomy, diastema widening, extractions, sinus procedures and fistula repair, with standing CT and on-farm digital radiography. Students, technicians and visiting vets take externships here, and internships and residencies run alongside.
