About Our Equine Operations
Dr. Shelby Arrieta purchased Ponderosa Equine from Dr. Lee Mueller in 2021, having earned her veterinary degree from Colorado State University in 2017, completed an internship at Steinbeck Country Equine Clinic in California, and returned to Colorado to work under Mueller. The practice, on Monarch Circle in Parker, functions as a small ambulatory service with a haul-in facility but no critical-care hospitalisation, covering wellness and preventive care, internal medicine, lameness evaluation and vaccinations, with goat vaccinations available by request. Office hours run Monday to Friday, and around-the-clock emergency coverage is maintained through a shared on-call arrangement with two other area equine practices. The service area extends across Parker, Elizabeth, Franktown, Castle Rock, western Kiowa and southern Aurora, and an online pharmacy ships medication directly to clients.
