About Our Equine Operations
Three Oklahoma State veterinarians, Brian Carroll, Dee Gragg and Larry Powers, established Oklahoma City Equine Clinic in 1990 on a 24-acre site ten minutes from the State Fairgrounds and Remington Park. A 2008 renovation added hospital stalls, a pharmacy and a laboratory; the hospital now runs 27 climate-controlled stalls with intensive care. Reproduction is a through-line here: Carroll works in advanced assisted techniques, Gragg founded an embryo transfer service in 2003, and Sheila Spacek, DVM, completed a theriogenology residency after a master’s at Colorado State. Connie Finley became a board-certified large animal surgeon in 2022. Amanda Wilson, DVM, is certified by the International Veterinary Chiropractic Association. Dental work under sedation extends to wolf tooth and molar extractions.
