About Our Equine Operations
Founded in 1994 and working from Zimmerman, this foundation describes itself as rescuing, rehabilitating, retraining and re-homing horses and other animals in distress. Over the years it has built strong connections with law enforcement officials, humane investigators and Minnesota veterinarians, and often works with local police to follow up on humane complaints or serve warrants where necessary. The adoptable roster runs to twenty-one pages of profiles — among them a 2011 off-track thoroughbred mare standing 15.2hh, a miniature gelding foaled about 2005, and a POA mare — and a completed application must be on file before an appointment to meet horses can be set up. The adoption contract establishes co-ownership between adopter and the foundation, bars resale, and rules out breeding outright.
