About Our Equine Operations
Loudoun County Milling calls itself one of the Virginia Piedmont’s few operating mills and one of the oldest, and says it has been in the feed business for over a century. The Rogers family, farming in Loudoun since 1907, still produces grain, hay and straw supplied to the mill for retail sale. Horse owners get authorized dealer lines from Purina and Nutrena, including Purina Senior, Triumph 12 Pellet, Empower Boost and Ultium Gastric Care, along with straight grains such as steamed crimped oats and barley, beet pulp, wheat bran and whole flax. Forage stock covers timothy and orchard grass hay, compressed alfalfa bales, alfalfa and timothy cubes, hay extender pellets and straw in bundles of 21 bales. The store at 39098 Irene Road in Hamilton opens 7:30 to 5 on weekdays and 8 to 2 on Saturday, and offers delivery.
