About Our Equine Operations
Working from a barn at 14245 South 6200 West in Herriman, Lillan Rome sells training time in ten-hour packages rather than by the month, on the grounds that every horse’s timeline differs, and takes horses only where the owner intends to keep learning alongside them. A psychology degree from Linfield College shapes how she handles frightened riders; a 3,000-hour internship at Atwood Ranch, a California quarter horse breeding operation, shaped how she starts young ones. Stated influences run from Pat and Linda Parelli through the dressage of Walter Zettle and Lauren Barwick to the cutting of Doug Jordan, and she currently studies with Trevor Carter of Carter Ranch Horse. Private lessons, clinics, workshops and group trail rides are offered, and she will travel out for problems such as trailer loading.
