About Our Equine Operations
Hold on, Pain Ends is what the acronym stands for; the Chislett family started the place in 2016 as a sanctuary for rescue horses and ponies, many of which arrived completely broken, physically and spiritually. Rona-Jane Chislett owns it and manages the riding school, with thirty-eight years behind her in equine behaviour, rehabilitation, dressage, hunter/jumpers and eventing. Lessons are $65 a rider for a maximum of an hour; a horsemanship class splits that hour between thirty minutes mounted and thirty unmounted, since the teaching covers a horse’s care and behaviour over its whole life rather than riding alone. Juliet, Stella, Rihanna, Flash, Rosy, Royal and Dash can be sponsored or leased. Visits are by appointment.
