Bob Hickman has made saddles since 1989, when he began in Colfax, Washington; he and Tara Hickman now run the Post Falls shop at 3960 West 5th Ave B-3. The saddles are the house line rather than a bought-in label, “all made in USA Post Falls Store” from American leather, and a custom order waits up to three months for the tree and three weeks more to build. Matt Redd builds and repairs alongside Bob, Chad McKarcher tools the leather, and Teri Horton joined in 2021 as saddle restoration specialist. Shelves carry saddle blankets, armitas, chinks, headstalls, hobbles, pulling collars, ranch ropes, mecate reins, horn and cantle bags, conchos and 5-star pads. Closed Mondays, Tuesdays and Sundays.
