About Our Equine Operations
Jolene opened this Big Lake barn on 13 June 2019, with family doing the interior work and all the pasture fencing; the name stands for Horses Open Peoples Eyes. Three board levels are published: pasture at $425 a month with run-in sheds and automatic waterers, stall board at $550 where owners clean their own stalls and supply shavings, and full service stall board at $650 including daily cleaning, blanketing and hay morning and night. Horses go out in the morning and come back in around dusk. Riders work with Kylah Thelen in English, western and horsemanship, $55 private or $45 a rider in a group. Jolene also gives full-body equine massage at $90 an hour and BEMER sessions at $25. The owner lives on site.
