About Our Equine Operations
A father-and-daughter team, Rich and Amy Scarlett, run this Lansdale farm, which their site says was purchased in 1972 and opened its doors in 1973. Rich Scarlett’s published record includes 1984 horseman of the year for the Pennsylvania horse show association, and terms as vice-president and then president of the Eastern Pennsylvania Professional Horseman’s Association between 1985 and 2001. Horses are fed premium feed and hay twice daily, turned out daily and have stalls cleaned daily, with indoor and outdoor rings, wash stalls, a tack room and open turnout fields. Lease arrangements are priced separately: a show-team place at $150, a half lease at $350 and a full lease at $540, with extra lessons at $25. The address is 2064 Shearer Rd, Lansdale.
