About Our Equine Operations
Two veterinarians who each relocated to Colorado in recent years operate Front Range Equine Urgent Care, an emergency-only ambulatory practice based on County Road 6 in Berthoud. Dr. Allison Blasko earned her DVM and master’s degrees at Colorado State University and completed a one-year equine internship in Arizona, while Dr. Kaitlyn Shaheen, a 2021 Texas A&M veterinary graduate, arrived in 2022 after an equine internship in Tryon, North Carolina and mixed-animal practice in Kentucky. The practice does not provide general or wellness care; it responds to urgent and emergency calls only, from 5 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily, and now offers telemedicine consultations. Its service area extends roughly 45 to 50 minutes from Berthoud, covering Fort Collins, Loveland, Longmont, Johnstown, Wellington, Greeley, Nunn, Kersey and LaSalle.
