About Our Equine Operations
A 6,000-square-foot custom-built medical and surgical facility on Furr Road in Vass houses Foundation Equine, founded by Dr. Lisa Kivett in 2013 as an equine-exclusive practice. The clinic provides full-service veterinary care, including vaccinations, parasite control, routine lab work, and around-the-clock emergency service for existing clients within about 26 miles of Southern Pines, covering Aberdeen, Cameron, Carthage, West End and Seven Lakes. Its own dentistry page calls dentistry a major part of the practice, describing oral exams, dental floats, radiography, oral endoscopy, periodontal disease treatment, and extraction of cheek teeth, incisors, canines and teeth affected by EOTRH, with Dr. Kivett performing advanced dentistry and standing tooth extractions.
