About Our Equine Operations
Buckley’s mixed practice at 28512 112th Street East puts equine dentistry at the centre of its horse work, and says so bluntly: “We offer Advanced Equine Dentistry and surgery haul ins only at this time. We don’t just ‘float’ teeth.” Dr Richard Vetter, a 1975 graduate of the WSU College of Veterinary Medicine, has been tested and accredited by the International Association of Equine Dentistry and belongs to the American Veterinary Dental Society; fractured teeth, painful periodontal pockets and chewing difficulty are what the practice says it looks for. Horses are handled in a padded exam area with two sets of stocks, recovered in 12-by-12 stalls, and worked up for lameness in a 70-by-144-foot indoor arena. Dr Katie Myerson and Dr Christa Headley also see patients.
