About Our Equine Operations
Founded in 1989 and based on Barnabas Road in Newtown, Fairfield Equine Associates opened a purpose-built equine hospital in 2000 equipped with CT imaging and a MILE-PET scanner alongside surgical suites, and its veterinarians have travelled with the United States Equestrian Team to multiple Olympic Games. Dental specialist Robert Barrett, DVM, MS, a Diplomate of the American Veterinary Dental College, works alongside the practice’s surgeons on complex oral cases in addition to routine field dentistry. Sports medicine and surgery specialist Ryland Edwards holds dual board certification from the American College of Veterinary Surgeons and the American College of Veterinary Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation, while Alycia Crandall is board-certified in surgery and Virginia Logue completed a residency in internal medicine. The practice maintains a satellite location in Wellington, Florida.
