About Our Equine Operations
The Waterford farm at 15042 Milltown Road handles Virginia certification work, boarding and conditioning Thoroughbreds toward the state’s owner and breeder bonuses of 25 to 50 percent for top-three finishes in open races. The family business dates itself to 1979 and keeps a second base in Poolesville, Maryland. Breeding is described as close monitoring of mares through their fertile windows using both artificial insemination and live cover, across Thoroughbreds, Friesians and warmbloods, with foaling, layup, breaking and sale prep alongside it; clients can arrange to witness a birth. Lessons are taught at both farms, private, semi-private or in groups of three to six riders of similar ability, and every new client starts with an evaluation ride.
